ASUS U31JG-A1 13.3" Notebook

The ASUS U31JG-A1 recieved a review from NotebookReview a few days ago and they have pointed out that there are both good points to this notebook and also some bad. In our article we will summarize the main points raised in the review, however for full details check out this link.

NotebookReview first said that it was disappointing to see that the MSRP was priced fairly steep considering the specs of the model. At $849, the review says that it would be more suitable at $100-$150 less. The review also mentions that the keyboard is easily flexed when it is used which is not always a promising sign of strength and the speakers are said to be poor quality.
asus u31jg
The review comments on the design and says that it is a nice size and weight, which is complemented by the glossy two-tone colour scheme and it also has overall good performance and over 7 hours of battery life. If you check out the benchmarks you will see that graphical performance is not great, however standard system performance was acceptable.

Overall NotebookReview scored the ASUS U31JG-A1 3/12 stars out of 5, the usability software and support and upgrade capabilities are pros, however the design and price are major cons. On the whole this model seems like a mediocre laptop with a high price tag, maybe if u shop around you could get more for your money.

Asus 1215B AMD E-350 Netbook

Reading the review below will help you find out whether the Asus 1215B managed to live up to the expectations or not, as I will speak thoroughly about each important aspect of this device.

Once again, I do have to say that this is yet a sample unit and although the guys at Asus ensured us it’s very close to the final version that will be available in stores soon, take the results with grain and salt (as some aspects can be improved on the final release).

The specs

First, let’s take a quick look at the specs to see what we can expect from this Asus 1215B 12 incher:

* 12.1 inch LED backlit display, 1366 x 768 px resolution, glossy
* AMD Brazos APU with AMD E-350 dual core processor and integrated AMD graphics
* 4 GB DDR3 memory
* 320 GB hard-drive
* Wireless N, Bluetooth 3.0, Gigabit LAN
* one USB 2.0 slot and two USB 3.0 slots, VGA, HDMI, headphone/mic, card-reader, webcam
* Windows 7 Home Premium OS
* 6 Cell 5200 mAh 56 Wh battery
* measures 11.6 x 8 x 1.5 inches
* weighs 3.2 pounds

Design and exterior

The 1215B inherits the seashell body shape from the 1215N. In fact, on the outside, both these devices are identical. Lid is covered in smooth rubbery matte plastic while the bottom comes with a textured finish. The matte plastic especially feels really nice and looks good, although smudges and fingerprints are visible on this black finish we had on our desks.

Nexus One: They stop online selling of Nexus One, but availability in stores will be increase

They stop online selling of Nexus One, but availability in stores will be increase. Four months after the release of Nexus One market Google has decided to revise their distribution policy. Realized that their sales in the online stores do not go so well as they hoped, they are now abandon them and move on to more traditional channels of retail. Well there is no shame in admitting you made a mistake, as you will do your utmost to solve it. Google Vice President of Engineering Andy Rubin said that the company blog that if they liked it the first Web store, most customers still anxious to have a practical experience before returning the money. Therefore, the company based in Mountain View has decided to abandon the online sales and increase the availability of a Nexus in retail stores worldwide. Google is obviously very happy with the way things were in Europe, where this model was adopted a while ago and try to do the same thing in the world.
The lack of publicity (not like they lack the resources to do so) has raised questions about whether Google is really committed to the success of a market for Nexus. You know, no partners Android shake the boat could have been more important to the final. However, this approach shows that have not renounced the interfaces between a straight and not let one of smartphones equipped with the best we have been sinking without a trace.

Watch the HD video of Samsung Galaxy S

Samsung Galaxy S is one the best smartphones made and it should hit the market pretty soon. A 1GHz CPU, a 4-inch Super AMOLED screen and a 5 megapixel camera with HD video recording are enough to make the Galaxy S a prime target for those of you that are out for a big screen bad-ass Android smartphone.

The rest of the competition is pretty much sealed for now – the HTC Desire and the Nexus One duo, the Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10, and perhaps the Motorola Milestone. We saw what those can do, so it’s time to put the Samsung Galaxy S through its paces.

A full-featured review is on its way, due for probably next week. Two weeks ago we gave you our latest Samsung Wave camera samples, now it’s time for those by Samsung Galaxy S. Enjoy those while we work to bring you more mouth-watering details.

Breaking News: Times Square, NYC Evacuated-Suspicious Package Discovered

Police are now examining the discovery of a suspicious package near New York Times Square at around 1:15 ET.

Police said a bomb squad responded to the area near 46th Street and Broadway near the Marriott to investigate what appears to be smaller, cooler white ice on the sidewalk.

Many roads are closed for safety reason due to the cooler that was found a few blocks from where the smoking SUV and a failed car bomb was discovered on Saturday evening.

Celebrating IND or the International Nurses Day

international nurses day, IND
International Nurses Week (IND) is celebrated around the world 6 to 12 May. This day was celebrated to remind all nurses valuable contributions to society. International Council of Nurses (ICN) has celebrated this day in 1965. In 1953 Dorothy Sutherland, an official U.S. Health, Education and Welfare, had proposed that then-President Dwight D. Eisenhower declared "Nurses Day", but he does not accept it. [1] In January 1974 it was decided to celebrate on May 12 because it is the birthday of Florence Nightingale, who is widely considered the founder of modern nursing. Each year, ICN prepares and distributes International Nurses Day Kit. The kit contains educational and public information materials for nurses worldwide.

Charges were brought against the Times Square bombing suspect car

time square bombing suspect
A suspected car bomb in Times Square has not admitted to law enforcement officials that he tried to detonate the bomb and he recently received training in bomb Waziristan region of Pakistan, court documents say. Faisal Shahzad, a 30-year-old Pakistani-American who was arrested Monday night in New York John F. Kennedy International Airport, was charged with five counts in connection with the case according to documents filed Tuesday afternoon in U.S. District Court in New York. It was unclear when he will appear in court. Earlier Tuesday, General Eric Holder said Shahzad prosecutor - who lived in Connecticut and a naturalized American in recent years - admitted involvement in what the authorities have now labeled a "terrorist plot".

"It is clear that this was a terrorist plot," Holder said, adding that this could have caused "death and destruction in the heart of New York." A mid-size SUV rigged as a car bomb left in Manhattan, Times Square, on Saturday.

A complaint filed in court details five counts against Shahzad: attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction, attempting to kill and maim people in the United States, using and carrying a destructive device, transporting an explosive device, and attempting to damage building, vehicles and other property.

Read complaint filed in federal court Tuesday

Shahzad was arrested around 11:45 p.m. ET Monday at the airport moments before he was to fly to Pakistan via Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Shahzad had boarded Emirates Airlines Flight 202 to Dubai, but authorities arrested him before the plane moved from the gate, an Obama administration official said. Shahzad was booked through to Islamabad, Pakistan, via Dubai, a senior airline official confirmed.

The FBI said its agents and New York detectives arrested Shahzad "for allegedly driving a car bomb into Times Square."

FBI Deputy Director John Pistole said that Shahzad was on the federal "no fly" list, which helped Customs and Border Protection agents to arrest him.

In addition, Emirates Airlines said the suspect bought his ticket with cash at the airport counter, and the staff, considering that unusual, immediately informed airport security officials.

Holder said federal agents are continuing to question Shahzad.

"As a result of those communications, Shahzad has provided useful information to authorities. We anticipate charging him with an act of terrorism transcending national borders, attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction, use of a destructive device during the commission of another crime, as well as assorted explosives charges."

Latest updates in Times Square bomb scare

Hours after authorities arrested Shahzad, security forces in Pakistan seized two or three people in a raid in connection with the failed Times Square bombing, a Pakistani intelligence source said.

The Pakistan raid took place in a house in Karachi's Nazimabad district where Shahzad was believed to have stayed during his last visit to the country. Shahzad is a naturalized U.S. citizen of Pakistani descent.

Shahzad has a Karachi identification card, a sign of Pakistani residency, and his family is from volatile northwestern Pakistan, where government forces have been fighting Taliban militants, who have strongholds in the area, according to Pakistani Interior Minister Rehman Malik.

Timeline in bomb plot

Meanwhile, investigators Tuesday found a 9 mm handgun with ammunition in a white Isuzu that the suspect is believed to have driven to the airport, a federal law enforcement source said.

The source also said 15 bags of "standard green fertilizer" were found in the trash outside Shahzad's former house in Shelton, Connecticut. Also found in the trash was flash powder -- a mixture of aluminum or magnesium that ignites easily and burns rapidly.

Hours after the arrest, police were at a house in a Bridgeport, Connecticut, working-class neighborhood that was Shahzad's latest address. Agents with the FBI and local police, including members of a bomb squad, conducted a search, and investigators removed filled plastic bags.

Investigators also were combing through Shahzad's receipts, and roommates were being interviewed.

Detectives also found a hand-drawn map in the attempted bombing probe, but it's not clear where it was found, a federal law enforcement official said.

President Obama said Tuesday that "justice will be done" in the case and that U.S. officials "will do everything in our power to protect the American people."

The failed bombing is "another sobering reminder of the times in which we live," Obama told an audience of business leaders. But the United States "will be vigilant" and "will not cower in fear," he said.

Police have been engaged in a furious manhunt in the New York area for those responsible for an intended terrorist attack Saturday night in the heart of Manhattan's Times Square.

According to a source familiar with the investigation, the individuals didn't have the expertise to detonate a parked Nissan Pathfinder containing propane tanks, fertilizer and gasoline.

Authorities focused on Shahzad when they traced evidence to him from the sale of the Nissan Pathfinder used in the failed attack -- information considered the linchpin of the case.

The Nissan Pathfinder had its vehicle identification number removed from the dashboard. Police climbed under the SUV and retrieved the VIN from the bottom of its engine block.

This breakthrough led investigators to the vehicle's registered owner and then on to Shahzad, who purchased the SUV, an official said.

The Nissan Pathfinder was sold three weeks ago in a cash deal with no paperwork exchanged, a law enforcement source with knowledge of the investigation said Monday. The $1,800 deal was closed at a Connecticut shopping mall, where the buyer handed over the money and drove off, the source said.

Cell phone calls conducted for the purchase of the vehicle helped lead police to the suspect, law enforcement sources said.

Sources said investigators got cell phone information from the daughter of the Nissan Pathfinder owner. She sold the vehicle to Shahzad on behalf of her father.

She talked on the phone to Shahzad in organizing the purchase of the SUV, which was advertised for sale on Craigslist.

Another law enforcement source said Shahzad claimed to have acted alone in the attempted bombing, but the Joint Terrorism Task Force has said it's considering the possibility that the attempt involved more than just a "lone wolf."

The official who released the information about the map said he believes Shahzad "wasn't working alone."

According to the complaint filed in federal court, Shahzad returned to the United States via a one-way ticket from Pakistan on February 3. The document cited Customs and Border Protection records.

He had told immigration officials upon his return that he had been visiting his parents in Pakistan for the past five months, according to the complaint.

The document also says Shahzad received a series of phone calls from Pakistan on a prepaid cell phone in the days leading up to the attempted Times Square attack, after he bought the Nissan Pathfinder.

Shahzad became a U.S. citizen on April 17, 2009, a federal law enforcement source said. Because of his recent change in residency status, authorities had his picture and were able to show it to the seller of the vehicle, who identified Shahzad as the purchaser.

A woman who said she lived next door to Shahzad in Shelton said Tuesday that the man she knew was quiet and claimed to work on Wall Street.

"He would wear all black and jog at night. He said he didn't like the sunlight," Brenda Thurman said.

She said that Shahzad, his wife, two children and his wife's two sisters lived next to her for about three years, moving out in July 2009.

Shahzad's wife told Thurman then that the family was moving to Missouri. A few weeks after they left, the bank foreclosed on the property and changed the locks, the neighbor said.

Court documents reveal Shahzad purchased a house that entered foreclosure proceedings last year.

Documents from Connecticut's Milford Superior Court show that Shahzad and Huma Mian purchased a home at 119 Long Hill Ave. in Shelton in July 2004. They took out a mortgage for $218,400 from Chase Manhattan Mortgage Corp.

Last September, the mortgage company began foreclosure proceedings. As of December 14, Shahzad and Mian owed $207,837.

Pinapaitang Baka, Ilocos Pinapaitan

Papaitan baka pinapaitan or for those who do not know is a sampalok and bile fragrant stew of tripe and intestines. It is either a bull or a goat. (Baka or KAMBING). Blanch the guts to garlic and ginger for 15 minutes, discard the water and rinse before slicing. Add amount Gall little at a time, so with sampalok.

TechNickNews: Oil Spill

TechNickNews: Oil Spill
Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lisa P. Jackson flew over the gulf oil spill Saturday, later telling people at a meeting in New Orleans that “it’s like all five of the Great Lakes and the Great Lakes are oil sheen.”

Jackson spent much of her time dealing with residents' memories about Hurricane Katrina and the slow federal response to that disaster.

The meeting took place in a tiny church in the Lower Ninth Ward, a hardscrabble neighborhood symbolic of Washington’s ineptitude in responding to the 2005 hurricane. Almost five years after the storm ripped through, houses were abandoned, boarded up and spray-painted with markings that officials had left while searching for the dead: “9-10” for date inspected, “DEA” for agency, “0” for animals found, “0” for people.

Inside the church, stacks of The National Baptist Hymnal had been pushed aside for at least 50 people and some TV cameras. Community leaders questioned Jackson – who reminded them she had grown up in New Orleans – and their concerns were clearly informed by the sluggish Katrina response.

This time, however, BP was cast as the villain and Washington as a would-be white knight they didn’t yet trust. “I’m still leery of the EPA,” one man told Jackson, to scattered applause.

The crowd wanted to know if the government would work with community groups and call in social service help for still-fragile communities.“There aren’t any cities that have five years of practice in how to come together,” another man said. One woman mentioned the “double whammy” of Katrina and the oil spill on the poor.

“We are not well. No, we are not well,” said another speaker, Alice Craft-Kerney, a nurse who runs the Lower 9th Ward Health Clinic.

Questioners talked about needing “factual information,” as opposed to the rumor and commotion that marked the days after Katrina. One man fretted about Lake Pontchartrain near New Orleans, which thus far has been unaffected by the spill. Aaron Viles, campaign director for the Gulf Restoration Network, mentioned the conflicting reports of how much oil was spewing into the water.

“I’m worried a lot of spinning is happening,” Viles said. “We want to make sure the federal government is doing the math, not letting BP off the hook.”

The crowd worried about the potential for region-wide economic devastation and wanted BP to hire more local fishermen for the cleanup effort, saying the oil company hadn’t moved fast enough to enlist them near Venice, La., where the spill is poised to strike.

“I know everyone’s mad,” said a patient Jackson, who said Washington was overseeing the cleanup efforts and had pushed BP to hire locals. At least three times, she said some version of “the polluter pays,” which was met with applause and murmurs of “BP Oil.”

The slick had red-orange stripes that she compared to a tiger’s. Some of the oil booms intended to corral the spill had broken, though she said that was not uncommon. “I’m still praying they will be able to cut off the source,” she said.

Jackson said she was skeptical of dispersing the gushing oil at the wellhead, a method officials were testing, and that much about the spill’s potential effect was still unclear, including which fisheries might be closed and for how long.

“It’s just like a hurricane,” she said. “We’re looking at the forecast. We’re trying to figure out where it’s going to go.”

mayweather vs mosley live stream

mayweather vs mosley live stream, mayweather vs mosley live stream 24/7

Mosley vs Mayweather is going to be a hell of a fight. The both addressed nagging criticisms about each other during the last press conference. Mayweather told everyone last Wednesday that he don’t know how many fights Mosley fought clean, recalling the incident where Shane used performance-enhancing drugs 7 years ago.

Mosley told Mayweather that he (Floyd) deserves credit for taking this chance to fight him as he stands as the toughest opponent Mayweather has fought in his entire career. Mayweather has been criticized for failing to engage in a classic brawl.

Mayweather has always been reluctant to acknowledge Mosley’s talent and has said Mosley is “just a fighter” not like him an “entertainer” and can make things happen. He is proud of saying that he’s the boxer to “take less punishments” in bouts. Mosley called Mayweather “a special fighter” and told Floyd that it will take unusual efforts to beat him.
